Hi, I’m Cai and at the age of 23, I started to explore the world around me. Take a look at some highlights of my life and learn how I discover my love for writing and traveling.
Early Days
Cai was raised and born in Valenzuela City, a small yet highly urbanized and first class city, 8 miles away from the capital. He is the eldest of 4 siblings, where most of his elementary and high school days were spent with his grandparents since his parents need to work, mostly outside of Manila.
It was during elementary years when Cai discovered his love for writing. He won several writing contests in and outside his school. He even competed to the national levels and made him Writer of the Year as he graduated in grade school and some writing awards in High school.
However, he was not able to take journalism in college which was his dream course. Yet, He knew that writing runs in his veins – regardless if he don’t have formal education or training. He believes that when you are passionate about what you are doing, you take the risks to make things happen.
He graduated Bachelor in Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela. He was also one of the founders of Association of Intellectual Marketing in his university.
Corporate Careers
He started his career as a customer service associate in a multinational company, then moved to retail industry working with an international clothing brand as a management trainee. He spent most of his corporate life as a Human Resource Specialist with one of the leading BPO companies here in the Philippines.
Travel blogging as a career
He started traveling on the last quarter of 2013. It started every other month, to every month up to the point that he travels every week. Traveling was his long time dream because during his early days he was not given a lot opportunity to travel due to financial reason. At one point of his life, Cai promised to himself that he will travel and visit all his dream destinations in the world.
September 2013 when Cai created Travelosyo.com, unlike other people who started blogging just as their hobby. He knows that he will take blogging seriously and one day will be his full-time job.
After a year of blogging, Cai started to received hotel sponsorship and earn income through affiliates, advertising, and guest writing. He also started to work with different tourism boards in and outside the country.
Today, Cai Dominguez is one of the fastest growing travel bloggers in the country working and managing all areas of his blog from writing, technical design, and marketing.
