Whenever I think of staycation in Manila nowadays, I want it to be outside Makati. This time, I want to spend time in a place that’s not overwhelming yet everything is within reach.
There must be a variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars the moment I step out of the hotel and yet, it must be quiet the moment I feel I need some sleep. A mall nearby is a bonus.
Finding a hotel with those requirements isn’t supposed to be hard, but there are times that I can’t tick everything off my checklist. Luckily, I found the right fit in Eastwood City.
For nearly a decade, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel has been standing glamorous at the center of Eastwood City–the Philippines’ very first “live-work-play” community. It’s the only hotel that you can find inside the Eastwood complex.

“Hi, Sir, good afternoon!” the guard said with a wide and warm smile.
“Thank you,” I answered
Then he opened the door, unveiling one of the most classic hotel lobbies I’ve seen here in the Philippines. I felt amazed as I walked toward the front desk.
The Hotel Lobby
The tall bronze pillars greeted me as I walked through the door. Those were the first things I noticed. The crystal chandelier hanging at the center added luxury to the lobby.
Mixed earth colors made the hotel lobby more inviting. The wall has a touch of wooden dark brown and white. Green plants decorated the surroundings and the brown colored tiles are polished to perfection. And who would not notice the grand stairway leading to the second floor, which was connected to Eastwood Mall?
Check-in was swift. The front desk officer explained everything I needed to know before settling in my room. On my way to my room, I noticed the fully carpeted hallway.
I have this thing for carpeted floors. They feel luxurious and classy, and the carpet makes walking down hallways quiet and comfortable.
Walking on tiled floors, on the other hand, produces annoying sounds that disturb other guests. I’m giving them plus points for that because I knew that I would surely have a good sleep.
The Deluxe Room
Upon entering the room, I was surprised that it’s fully carpeted, too!
I got a deluxe air-conditioned room on the 31st floor, which had a nice view of the east side of Manila all the way to the mountain range of Rizal.

My first experience of Richmonde was in Iloilo and one thing that is remarkable about their room is being spacious. I love that I have the freedom to move around comfortably.
The wall and ceiling are white. There’s a colorful painting on the wall. Other amenities include an LCD TV, mini bar, coffee/tea maker, a writing desk that’s perfect for all my online stuff and, most importantly, a decent WiFi connection.

As expected, the bed is super comfortable, giving me that much-needed rest that I wanted. The velvet pillow plus the thick and irresistibly soft comforter will not want you to leave your bed anymore.
And where else will I give my extra point? Of course, any hotel room with a bathtub will surely get a plus point from me. This alone is enough reason for me to stay at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.

Eastwood Richmonde hotel is ideal for business travelers since they offer professional executive assistance, office equipment rental and meeting rooms that you can lease.
Amenities
You won’t skip your workout either, as there’s a spacious gym located on the 39th floor. It has modern equipment and professional fitness trainers. The best part is the view of Southern Manila while you are having a workout. They also have a pool at the rooftop and sauna on the 39th floor.

My stay at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel would never be complete without trying delicious meals at Eastwood Cafe+Bar. I could say that this is one of the best restaurants I had tried in the Eastwood Area.
