Where To Stay In Singapore: YOTEL Singapore

Yotel Singapore

Looking for a place to stay in Singapore is easy as the country has an excellent train system that can bring you to the best spots in this country. But if one of your goals is to go shopping, there’s no other best district than Orchard—the center of the biggest shopping belt in Singapore. It’s truly an unparalleled retail and dining paradise offering thousands of lifestyle choices for Singaporeans and foreign tourists.

MRT lines are very well connected to the area, and the hotel’s prices here are on the pricey side. But I’m glad to find YOTEL Singapore, a centrally located hotel in Orchard that offers extraordinary value, close to shopping malls and the MRT station—making it easy for me to get around the rest of the city.

How to get to YOTEL Singapore from Changi Airport via MRT

  1. From Changi Station (CG2), transfer to Tanah Merah station (EW4/CG) East-west Line (Green).
  2. Get off at the City Hall station (EW13) then transfer to the North-South line (Red) going to Orchard station (NS22).

The Lobby

YOTEL Singapore is an innovative global hospitality brand for tech-savvy travelers. When I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was fascinated by how advanced their check-in and check-out processes were. Everything was automated; you just needed to key in your check-in details and scan your passport and face in a machine at the reception. Next, you’d get a keycard automatically assigned to your designated room number. If you need assistance, there’s a concierge ready to help you. There’s also a machine where you can exchange your money for Singapore dollars (SGD).

As if those things are not impressive enough, you also meet their robots, Yolanda and Yoshi. They can deliver things to your room, such as drinks, food, etc.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel like this before; it’s so modern, convenient and high-tech, I was very impressed.

The Room

I stayed in a Premium Queen Room with a city view. The queen-size bed was the best feature of this room; it’s an adjustable SmartBed that can sleep two people, with an electronic push-button that turns it into a comfortable sofa bed. I also loved the soft pillows and the duvet.

The room isn’t very big, but it was smartly designed. Its futuristic-concept offered a lot of surprising elements that maximized the space. There were no chairs or couches but the bed can be converted into a sofa. There was a space under the bed to place your bags, and there’s extra storage under the sink. The small bedside table doubles as a coffee facility.

There are also a large safety box, a small fridge, and a folding chair.

And just when I thought it already has everything I needed, I discovered the integrated cloth hooks on the wall beside the TV. There’s a cabinet where you can find an ironing board, umbrella, and flashlight.

The bath & shower was also my favorite spot. The walls were made of glass giving you an unobstructed view of the Orchard from the 27th floor. The view from this bathroom gives such a luxurious feel. If you want privacy while showering, you can just pull down the blinds. For toiletries, they use products by Urban Jungle, a Korean brand that uses Vegan & PETA-approved formula.

Since most of the hotels in Orchard are high-end, staying at YOTEL Singapore with its innovative concept is truly the best deal you can find in the area. You can get a Premium City View Queen Room for as low as P7,000 for two or S$168 or $126 via this link. *Note that prices may vary depending on the date.

It will surely motivate you to finish your routine. Adjacent to the fitness center is the pool area where you can swim while enjoying the city view.

Drink and Dine at KOMYUNITI

Komyuniti is the central hub and a multi-functional bar and restaurant designed to create a sense of community whether for work or play.

I love its classy and relaxed atmosphere; it was spacious, well-lit, with high ceilings, and an alfresco dining area. KOMYUNITI is a hidden gem in Orchard. Its charm is in its drinks—great pricing, creative, and delicious.

If you are not sure which cocktail to order, don’t hesitate to approach their friendly staff for recommendations. They even have drink promos every night of the week, so if you are looking for a place to spend time with your friends in Singapore, I highly recommend visiting KOMYUNITI. It’s also ideal for people looking for a place to work. They have a long shared table where you can do your online stuff while you’re on vacation.

Given its posh location in Orchard road, smart, futuristic design, top-notch service and amenities, inviting ambiance and comfortable stay, YOTEL Singapore is ultimately the best-value hotel in Orchard.

YOTEL Singapore is located at 366 Orchard Road, just a 10-minute walk from the MRT Orchard station. To check their latest updates and promotions, don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Instagram or visit their website at for more details.
