Staycation at Zen Home Fort Victoria BGC

Bonifacio Global City or simply BGC is the new face of modern Manila and of modern contemporary living. Located in Taguig City, it is home to some of the tallest buildings, 5-star hotels, best restaurants, signature shops, playful parks, tidy and wide roads. Truly, a home for top-quality living and incredible urban oasis in Metro Manila.

Although it’s not a hotel, checking in was easy. I sent a photocopy of my valid ID when I received the confirmation from Zenrooms (this is part of the security measures of the property). They gave me a mobile number that I needed to call or text once I arrived at the lobby.

I just texted the number the moment I arrived, waited for a few minutes, signed a form at the lobby, left a Php2,000 security deposit and in less than 5 minutes, I was sent to my room.

The room is loft type with a kitchen, refrigerator, cooking and dining utensils–perfect if you want to cook food during your stay. A small living area, two comfort rooms, and two bedrooms–one with a single bed and another with a queen-sized.

According to Zenrooms staff, there are currently 15 rooms managed by Zenrooms at Fort Victoria BGC, so the room that you see online might have a different layout from the actual room.

The room is basic, but what I love the most is the fast internet connection, which is very important because I work online. I also love the glass wall that gives you a beautiful view of BGC. The view from our room was the American Cemetery. You will also see airplanes taking off.

Imagine lying on your bed at night with the full-length curtains open. The view is the colorful city lights of BGC.

Fort Victoria BGC also has a wide pool that guests can use during their stay.

On the ground floor, you will find Family Mart and Gong Cha–perfect for quick snacks. From there, you can also walk towards Fort Street (formerly Fort Strip) where you will find restaurants, bars and cafes.
