Following Cebu City’s booming tourism industry and growing business operations is the demand for better facilities to accommodate the great number of people coming in either to live or to visit the city. The local government has been launching different endeavors to meet this demand, one of which is the construction of the new Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
The moment I landed, I knew that this airport is unlike anything that I have seen in domestic airports before. I would even go as far as saying that it is without a doubt, the best Philippine airport to date.
In my most recent trip, I stayed at Seda Hotel Cebu located at Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu Business Park (CBP). Seda Hotel sits right next to Ayala Center. Thus, guests who are checked in at Seda Hotel has direct access to the mall through.

Misto Seda Cebu
I arrived early and while waiting for check-in time, I did the next best thing to do; eat. Just a few steps away from the reception area is Seda’s Misto Restaurant. It serves a fusion of local and international dishes in a relaxing dining ambiance.
The buffet features a flavorful mix of Cebuano cuisine. I personally loved the cebu danggit and lechon kawali. There is a live cooking station where you can ask the cooks to grill some seafood and meats. Moreover, they offer mouthwatering desserts including my all-time favorite, halo-halo.
When it comes to international cuisine, they have a good selection of pasta dishes, a wide variety of Japanese food, different types of cheese, among others. Salad and fruit slices are also available. Seda Cebu buffet at Misto is really a good choice for a place to eat in the city.

Also, don’t forget to experience Seda Cebu’s afternoon delight, an enjoyable way to recharge you during a busy day. There you can enjoy a sophisticated yet casual afternoon tea. It’s available daily at Misto Restaurant from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Local specialy good for 2 persons is Php 399 net while the western dishes go for Php 499 net, also for 2 pax. It includes 1 set of assorted finger food and 1 pot of tea.
Seda Cebu Deluxe Room
I was booked in a deluxe room that was surprisingly big. I’ve been to other Seda hotels but this one takes the cake for having the most spacious room. It showcases a modern, minimalist design with earth tones, mostly white, light and dark brown, a signature of the Seda brand.
The room has a king-size bed, a sofa-bed next to the window, and a bathroom with a separate area for shower and toilet. They use Sasy N Savy an Australia’s Natural Skincare products for their toiletries; I loved the smell of the body wash.

There’s a full-length mirror outside the bathroom and a small table, which I used to do my online work. There is a 48-inch HDTV TV with cable channels, and most importantly a fast and reliable Internet connection.
Moreover, there’s a coffee and tea making facility; Seda Cebu Hotel provides Dilmah tea, the manufacturer of the finest Ceylon Tea in the world.

Seda Hotel Cebu is ideal for both business and leisure travelers visiting the Queen City of the south. It’s perfectly located next to big businesses at the center of Cebu Business Park and just right next to Ayala Mall for shopping, food, and entertainment.
I’ve been to Seda Hotel here in Davao and I think the Seda Hotel there in Cebu is better and bigger than here.
