Train your Brain with these Online Games

Have you ever been in a situation where you want to take a break, destress, feel refreshed, or feel relaxed after a busy day at work? Usually, we go to coffee shops, hang out with friends, have a nice dinner at our favorite restaurant, or even watch a movie with our loved ones, but everything changed when the Covid-19 pandemic started. As a result, we had to stay at home.

We had no choice but to follow the government’s protocols for the safety of our family and the sake of others as well. At first, it was a dream come true that we get to stay with our family 24/7 and work in the comfort of our home. But as months and years passed by, it became a routine, and in my case, it made my overall wellbeing a bit neglected, especially physically and mentally.

I had to find a way to get back in shape physically, and at the same time, find easy and fun ways to exercise my mental health too. Good thing, I stumbled upon a website that seems like a great way for me to relax my mind right after hours of work.

They have many games to choose from, ranging from a solitaire card, match 3, hidden object, logic, words, and arcade games. What’s great about this website is that you get to access all these for free. Let me share with you 3 of the games I enjoyed a lot these past few days:

  1. Letter Scramble

This type of game has been my favorite since I was an elementary student. It is fun and educational at the same time. It makes my mind and vocabulary work to create words out of the given letters. It is not the same game that I played before, but it has the same objective. You will have 5 minutes to make as many words as possible using the letters provided on the board. After that, you can either use the mouse to click on the letter tiles, click submit, or type in the word using the keyboard and press enter.

  1. Spider Solitaire

I love card games, but I constantly get challenged with Spider Solitaire that I tend to play for hours until I win. It is tough to win this game even if you choose the Medium difficulty, which involves two suits. If you haven’t tried playing this before, the game aims to assemble the cards of the same suit in descending order, from King to Ace to discard. If you don’t have any moves left in the same suit, you can place the lower card onto a different suit, but you won’t be able to move the group of cards into another column. If no moves at all, you can deal up to 4 times, but the cards will be piled on top of your remaining cards. This game is all based on luck and strategy, so your mind will be put to work.

  1. Daily Wordoku

Another challenging logic game that gets me hooked till I win is the Daily Sudoku. It seems pretty straightforward, but you need a strategy to be able to complete the board. You can choose the level of difficulty you like. The aim of the game is that in each column, each row, and each 3×3 grid, you can only place the numbers 1-9 once. You can click on the cell, and it will turn green; then, you can enter the number you want using the number pad or click on the number shown on the left side of the screen.

There are more games to choose from in Solitaire.org that I’m sure you will love to play alone or with your family members. Just be sure to play in moderation, as the games here can be very addicting. Have you tried playing on this website before? What’s your favorite game and why? Comment down below as I would love to hear your experiences as well.
