Hanoi serves as an excellent jumping point for exploring Vietnam due to its rich history, vibrant culture, and strategic location. As the capital city, Hanoi offers easy access to some of Vietnam’s most iconic attractions, including Ha Long Bay, Sapa, and Ninh Binh.
Its well-connected transportation network including both international and domestic flights, cafes, delicious street food, and charming Old Quarter make it an ideal starting point for travelers looking to immerse themselves in Vietnamese culture and explore the country’s diverse landscapes. If you’re interested in history, adventure, or gastronomy, Hanoi provides a perfect introduction to the wonders of Vietnam.
How to get to the city center from Hanoi Airport?
The No. 86 bus departs from both airport terminals and ends at Hanoi Train Station, taking 1 hour. Buses No. 7, 17, and 90 take 1.5 hours to downtown. Terminal No. 7 is at Kim Ma Bus Station, No. 17 is at Long Bien Station, and No. 90 is at Kim Ma and Nhat Tan Bridge. However, I usually book a Grab from Noi Bai International Airport to Hanoi city center for convenience. I’ve noticed that Grab fares are slightly cheaper in Vietnam compared to the Philippines.
Where to stay in Hanoi?
If you’re budget-conscious and seeking quality accommodation in Hanoi, I highly recommend Lotusama Hanoi Hotel. With rates around P2,800 or $50 per night, including a simple breakfast buffet for two, it’s one of the top-rated options I found online, and it didn’t disappoint.
Centrally located near the old quarter’s attractions, the hotel offers spacious, clean, and classy rooms with excellent bathroom amenities and a varied breakfast selection. But what truly sets it apart is its exceptional staff. Book at a discounted rate via this link: https://bit.ly/40RVfMg.
