Philippines

Philippines 2019

International and local tourist arrivals rose in the Philippines last 2018 and expected to increase this year. With the continuous aggressive campaign of our government. I’m positive that there will be more people traveling around our country this 2019.

This year I will recommend places that are ready for the flock of tourist arrivals and very competitive when it comes to its natural beauty and yet I noticed that only a few are visiting.

These are the places that I visited this 2018 that I highly recommend you to visit this 2019 before everybody does.5.

  • Antique
Panay Island

One, if not the most underrated province of Panay Island is Antique. It is situated in the western section of Panay Island, borders Aklan in the northeast, and Capiz and Iloilo in the southeast. Unlike its neighboring provinces are known for their popular tourist destinations (e.g., Boracay in Aklan, Gigantes Islands in Iloilo), Antique is often seen as a side-trip than a prime destination.

What most people are not aware of is that this elongated stretch of land occupies the entire western side of Panay island, bounded by the rugged central mountains and has long stretches of white sand. Its natural beauty still a little untouched by modernity has hidden gems waiting to be explored.

  • Carabao Island, Romblon
Carabao Island

Hambil Island, as the locals call it, better known as Carabao Island is a slice of tropical paradise which has been described as Boracay from 20 to 30 years ago.

An island facing Boracay, roughly 30 minutes boat ride away, is a beautiful place that is still relatively pristine. Crystal clear water, rich marine life, powdery white sand, tall coconut trees, and some less developed roads.

For the longest time, Carabao Island has been the second best island to Boracay. Many tourists in Boracay would take day tours to Carabao Island or stay there for a couple of days to enjoy its more serene vibe.

  • Guimaras
Guimaras

One of the best options if you want to get away from the metro. The location is perfect. It’s beautiful, laid back, and not crowded. Oh! The Mangoes are world class! If you want to experience some city life, go to nearby Iloilo City, a 20-min boat ride away.

  • Batanes
Sabtang

If there’s only one reason why everyone would love to fly to Batanes, most likely, it’s going to be the incredible landscape. The province’s rolling terrain is a real deal. Other places can claim that they’re the Batanes of the east or the west, but none of them can beat the original.

Here is a sample Batanes tour highlights and F.A.Q

  • Catanduanes
Philippines

If an airline company would offer a seat sale today, I wonder how many people would think of going to Virac, Catanduanes. Probably only a few.

Most people would be excited to book a flight going to the most famous destinations in the Philippines such as BoracayPalawan, and Bohol, or would fly internationally. Catanduanes is probably last on the list of travelers. Maybe, it’s not even on their radar. That I see as a blessing and a curse at the same time.

If you are looking for uncrowded places, nature experience, and not that visited tourist destinations in the Philippines and yet can match the front liner tourist spots of the country. These 5 places will not disappoint you. Let us explore the hidden gem of our country before everybody does.
